Tower Fund Services networked at the prestigious SkyBridge Alternatives SALT Conference in Las Vegas, May 15 – 19, 2017 with colleagues at surrounding events. SALT recently made headlines when Anthony Scaramucci, the Founder of SkyBridge Capital, joined President Donald Trump’s transition team. SALT continues to cultivate an esteemed reputation as an event for thought leaders around the world to network and share ideas.

Notably, Vincent Sarullo, Tower Fund Services co-founder, spent time catching up with friends in the industry at audit and law firms like Riveles Wahab, Harneys, and Ogier. He also made new connections including Gregory Coleman, better known as the F.B.I. Special agent who led the investigation of Jordan Belfort depicted in “The Wolf of Wall Street” while at SALT. Coleman attended a private cocktail party hosted by Tower Fund Services at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas. Coleman retired from the F.B.I. and now runs his firm Coleman Worldwide Advisors which focuses on anti-money laundering training for the investment industry.

SkyBridge Alternatives SALT Conference Evolves

Over the years, SALT has evolved as both a traditional conference and a larger networking event, with alternative investment service providers—such as administrators like Tower; audit firms; and law firms—gathering for networking and casual conversation. Beyond the conference held at the Bellagio—that featured speakers such as Joe Biden, 47th Vice President of The United States and Bill Ackman, CEO and Portfolio Manager, Pershing Square Capital Management—service providers meet in a casual environment to discuss trends, exchange business cards, and grow relationships.

“SALT is the most important industry event all year,” said Vincent Sarullo, Tower co-founder. “We make it a point to be in Vegas every year so we can visit with our long-term colleagues and get to know the new firms entering the industry. We meet with our colleagues from every corner of the US and from other key industry locations like the Cayman Islands, Ireland, and Great Britain. It might be the only time we get to see them in person all year.”

Vincent Sarullo, author of a popular book “Alternative Investments: The Basics to Survival” now in its second edition, launched Tower Fund Services five years ago with his partner Kinjal Amin. Since its launch, Tower has enjoyed consistent growth, spurring confident projections and hiring; Tower hired three 2017 graduates of Monmouth University to work full-time in their Red Bank office in April.

“There are a lot of misconceptions about the Hedge Fund Industry,” says Kinjal Amin, Tower Co-founder, “We pride ourselves on being transparent and make it our mission to act as an educator on alternative investments for our industry and the greater world. Vince and I always make ourselves available to share insights on this industry.”

Tower is a smaller local firm, but serves clients globally. As a fund administrator, Tower serves as an independent third party that protects the interests of investors and alleviates the fund manager of many of the operational functions of running an investment fund. While having a reputation in the hedge fund industry as an expert source on the topic of alternative investments, Sarullo is also well-known as a volunteer with the Red Bank Fire Department.

Meet Tower in Your Region

In the upcoming year, Tower will continue to travel the country, with events planned in New York City and Atlanta, Georgia for this summer. Fall events will be held in California, Washington State, and Florida.

Tower regularly hosts cocktail events in under-served regions that are located away from the Wall Street financial community, but are nonetheless burgeoning locations of hedge fund growth.
